Mine frequently deal with things like mutations, stalking, religious cults, genetically modified creatures, and being forced into life-threatening circumstances when one is just out and about trying to live their life.

Absolutely! The Hunger Games is actually one of my special interests, so I end up re-reading the series once a year, at least π. Superbloom is extremely interesting though and made me completely rethink my relationship to technology.
