Kind of. There’s justification, orders, and reviewability for both the national guard and the marines. For the marines you pretty much have to invoke the insurrection act and they haven’t. But even if they did they would probably have to be in a rebellion quashing role and it’s hard to get review.

That’s probably legally correct

Correct. Like most people he’s never stayed awake through the whole thing and has no idea what it’s about. (It’s in my top three. I’m not ragging on Les mis).

Honestly, they’re going to have to fight.

My mark is 2009-10 because the demographics of the country meant we’d never have 60 senators again. Now it’s nowhere close. In 15 years 70% of the senate will be from red states. We can’t survive that.

Gotcha. I don’t have a good read on the judges in the middle district of Tennessee, but it’s probably not great.

I mean…the senate was a racist suicide pact from day one, if we really want to get into it.

I don’t really either. But that’s mostly because I’ve accepted that 2010 was the last time we’ll ever have complete control of government and this whole thing is a walking corpse.

Perhaps not. But I would like a judge to decide that.

I’d also like a pony, but none seems to be on offer.

True, but…I think this is good. I suspect they trumped up some charges to bring him back on the governments own terms. It avoids a difficult Supreme Court fight. Plus, if dude’s gotta be in jail, better it be here.

I think you mean that the president should obviously win? The president should have no more ability than anyone else to target an individual.

Enjoy all of your testosterone smart guy. Seems to be serving you well. You have a totally normal reaction to this. People running and chasing a ball or whatever is fun. You should learn to have fun.

Yeah but so could two of the other conservatives. Not sure what’s going on here but it’s a Beckett fund case that not even the conservatives want. I have seen some suggestion that it would hurt treaty rights. Unclear at the moment.

You gotta admit though, all the greats worked the refs. I think it’s part of the skill set

Ooof. This is ugly, but I truly cannot think of how the us constitution prevents state legislatures from having such rules. Not the first amendment. The fix should be political. IMHO.
