maybe it’s bc i swapped from vegas since they’re relatively similar. but what used to take me 12 hours with vegas now takes less than half of the time. power bins especially are sooooo useful for repeated elements like transitions, animations, bgm, etc. even editing vo is easier than in audacity

i swapped from vegas to davinky when vegas started refusing to render for no discernible reason. editing videos is so much easier with davinky. the learning curve is a brick wall but it’s worth scaling it

that’s part of why it worked so well for me. the contrast between the suffocating bleakness/loneliness of longlegs with the sheer stupidity of the monkey’s kills and humor. i think oz perkins’ style may be hit or miss depending on the individual. i personally adore it, i think he’s brilliant. shrug

she is very gorgeous to me. don’t see much practical use in owning one myself despite my love for it but i’ve had a snes mini since day one. modding it w hakchi2 made it soooooo much better. made me fall in love w the snes controller. it’s my preferred way to play snes games i dunno. she’s so pretty

tbh oz perkins could just sit in a chair in a blank room for 100 minutes and i’d be walking out of the theater thinking it’s the most brilliant film of this generation. after how incredible longlegs was and how much it continues to unnerve me with every rewatch, he can do no wrong in my eyes

horror is an inherently progressive genre made by and for freaks and weirdos. it’s all about the little guy triumphing over an evil much greater than them, human resilience when faced with a threat. the horror community is for those who struggle to fit in elsewhere. halloween is every day.

like idk i’ll defend in a violent nature for its senseless brutality because it’s in service to the film being a commentary on both the brutality of nature and the horror genre itself. those kills are fantastic, creative, and brutal!!! but there’s more to the film than just the kills!!!!!!

using another torture porn series as an example, the saw franchise at least tries to make up excuses for why kramer would put people through the traps he makes. it has the vague notion of a grander concept beyond “killing for the sake of it”. but you can still make that work if you gave a shit!

not that surprising coming from the creator of a series focused on being mean-spirited torture porn that lacks much substance beyond being a showcase for gore effects and brutal on-screen kills. i never had any interest in the series bc the films felt like they refused to say anything meaningful

in retrospect i’m not even attempting any fc of magical cure love shot. i can’t decipher that lead chart. the pro lead chart terrifies me.

currently watching the first episode of common side effects. it’s great. thinking of my order i made last week for a hat and a hydrant sticker. i’m putting joe on my fridge so i’ll see him every time i get water. he’ll remind me to take it easy, to savor every last drop. to find joy in everything.
