I thought I would happily enjoy this place but to be honest it is just as bad as X. Was hoping to finally have a place to call home. But there is nothing but hatred here. Have tried blocking politics and they still pop up no matter what I do. 🫠

'Gold Star' The Sun does something awesome every day. Made 3ish days worth of 3 Solar Dynamics Observatory angstroms from July 2023 repaired, processed & graded to a rgb blend then color ramped with music by Chris Zabriskie. Edited from 40 minute 4k original. Credit: SDO / NASA / AIA / Seán Doran

Utterly mind-blowing: This is what 100 Million Stars look like! Take a journey through the most detailed view of the Andromeda Galaxy ever captured as we zoom out from its core. (Credit: NASA, ESA, J. Dalcanton, B. F. Williams, L. C. Johnson, the PHAT team, R. Gendler / Video by Universal-Sci)

On Wednesday, I found a window of drier weather that would allow me to at least do a tiny bit of birding, but the rain came back unexpectedly. Defeated, I was leaving the reserve and almost missed this cold, wet Barred Owl. #originalcontent #birds #photography 📷 (more in alt-text)

Mars continues to near the Beehive Cluster. Now getting seriously close. At their closest 2 December. Great visual (with binoculars) and photographic opportunities. 🔭 🧪

Here is a collage of some of my astronomy photos. We have an observatory in our Oxfordshire garden + a 2nd telescope pier. I absolutely love photographing everything in our beautiful night sky #Astrophotography

Good morning

another collaboration with photographer Victoria Steklova 🖤

More upcoming from my lab: we are looking at how sea spiders reproduce! Pycnos reproduce (for the most part!) by mom passing eggs to dad and then the dad holds them until they hatch and crawl off him (similar to seahorses). We are investigating paternity, maternity, etc. using genomics! 🧪🦑🐧🌎🇦🇶🧬

I guess for my first post.. Are there any true crime junkies I could follow on here. If so, please recommend it! I do not want anything political, just true crime or even science and space.
