Oh yeah I completely doubt that it's effective. I could see it preventing problems in like a high school

I think the theoretical impact is that it could prevent escalations or negligent discharge by otherwise law-abiding gun owners?

What is the best way to play Sands of Time these days? GOG release or Dolphin?

Definitely annoying, but is it possible it's a user that doesn't speak much English? Would always rather be given a list of bullet points than LLM output though

They only sold them in a box of 12 near me, I was so disappointed. Expected it to be like the bottled iced coffee but with some booze; got malt liquor with a drop of coffee in it.

Yeah they recycle a lot of content but the late game true ending route is really cool and there's some real bangers on the soundtrack.

How does Popular With Friends treat you? I mostly stopped using Twitter when they broke the API, I used a client that always showed posts from followers chronologically like Bluesky. Still prefer chronological, I don't mind the Popular With Friends feed though.

Try tossing an emoji into your password and see if the service will accept it; if they don't it means they're handling passwords wrong. When your bank (or whatever legacy system) won't accept special characters or spaces or passwords longer than 8 characters, that's a red flag.

Best bet is to use a password manager, set a really good password for that (and use two-factor auth), then randomly generate a password for everything.

2. Dictionary attacks:
"I know Daybreak has an account at Shinra Bank, let me try using every single password from the [LinkedIn, XYZ] data breach (sorted by how common they are) and see if any of them work"

As long as you (and the rest of the world) has never used that password before, yeah. There's two main tactics attackers use:
1. Credential stuffing:
"Daybreak has an account on LinkedIn, and they had a data breach. Let me try using their email+password on Netflix, Disney, Steam, etc."

NIST no longer recommends changing passwords at all, just using a strong 12+ character password/passphrase, password manager, and MFA

Because you didn't have a moral compass while you were in college, the students protesting against genocide don't either?

when they could just skeet "i am addicted to losing" and save us all some time

They guarantee 100% of the first $250,000. If they liquidated everything SVB owned and returned it to depositors, depositors would have gotten $250,000 + 97-98% of the remainder of their balance.

On the plus side, plenty of photo evidence for her trial at The Hague 10-20 years from now.
