After WW2, former US barracks in NJ were converted to apartments for poor people, mostly from NY. They were really bad--lacking insulation, insect screens, heat, private plumbing, etc. Occupants asked to move into former POW camps for German prisoners because they had been better maintained.

Flaws in selection processes that use DEI are also present to a higher degree in ones that consider legacy, wealth, donations, diplomatic ties, or family ties. Better if candidates for jobs, scholarships, and management/policy responsibility are selected for merit, qualifications, and expertise.

New admin may rely on executive orders proposed by nonelected advisers. Their goals are reduced spending and lower imports, causing "temporary" shortages, closures, government layoffs and delays. Undocumented immigration may slow if economy slides & inflation rises. Trump would have an achievement.
