to further elaborate, no one had planted this idea in me, nor did i think this octopus resided in anyone elses bed. i never even thought to bring it up to anyone til i was a teen. i was just haunted by an octo-wraith located squarely in the "deep part" of my bed

when i was a kid i was very convinced if i slept under my bedsheets an octopus would grab my foot and pull me under to suffocate me. obstinately never slept under my covers. i still mostly dont, more out of being overheated than anything else
