More work is desperately needed and this area should be prioritized by all, not just shematologists.
Women everywhere deserve safe, effective control of fertility, as well as the myriad of other conditions treated with hormones.
Just think of what we could accomplish!

Administration also matters w/ progestins.
In a systemic review, 2/3 studies found ⬆️ risk (OR 2.2-3) with injectable progestin (DMPA or depot). The other study had a similar OR but was not significant.
Data is lacking on progestin implants. (1 study ⬆️risk but flawed)
