while I do not use zed editor to anyone who does, good news they finally released the debugger but its vim mappings suck

I really want to like zed editor but the vim mappings are at best passable and at worst too stiff compared to neovim, I have a bunch of mappings there that are basically impossible to get on zed

loving the new warp terminal prompt look

peeps got real mad with that last chapter of sakamoto days but atari has already been established as a character with that kinda power so it totally makes sense, all tho it makes the stakes kinda low because of how convenient it is

lot of peeps with the new switch 2 and we over here in india with still no official nintendo presence, literally every other major console maker is here

for the longest time on linux I would install cli tooling by downloading the binary from the git repo and moving it into my bin direrctory, but there is an easier way to do this.. just use homebrew, yep not just a macos tool. It works great on any posix compliant machine

denuvo sucks, it prevents paying customers from playing the game they bought the fuck you mean wait 24 hours? I bought this game?????? @irdeto.com you guys suck

I appreciate how each game in the new doom trilogy feels extremely different from every standpoint, they do not even bother properly linking the games with a cut-scene. they are not sugar coating the fact that doom is just a vehicle for their passionate ideas and I love it!

while I am having a blast playing doom the dark ages with no problems at all on my bazzite os pc, the game's launch is plagued with crashes which is odd considering id tech is so good. they had a list of known issues so big one could ask how the fuck did they think well fuck it we will test it live

Did you know in rust you can't do a mutable borrow twice in a row for the same variable, I wondered why? I then realized that borrow is just C++ equivalent of a pass by reference

stage manager on macos is by far the worst modern window management tool created ever

Attempting linux ricing after that pewdiepie video just makes me appreciate the simple, easy to use no non-sense distros like fedora and linux mint all the more, arch comes with non of the niceties that I take for granted, also pewds is understating his tech know how a lot he big brain fr

watching pewdiepie's linux video really inspires me to take a closer look at my setup, I am proper engineer on the field and Im getting out riced by a dude with a wife and a kid on arch linux, nah I gotta up my game fr. jokes aside felix's setup is super cool and I am gonna try ricing fr

People really do not get the appeal of the warp terminal, they look at the old login requirement (ya don't need to now) and then stop looking, its a high performance rust based terminal with in built workflows, has a nice and intuitive way to list files when using the cd command

If you have not, watch Look Back ASAP. It is a master piece of a movie that is less than an hour long packed with themes about friendship, the hardship of creating art and grief. Looking back I really should have watched this movie sooner what a great movie.

its probably just me but I still remember how hyped I was for doom eternal. watching every e3 video, gameplay vid, every hugo interview and noclip doc over and over again eagerly awaiting that 20th march release date, and when I played it. It then made my expectations look like I had no imagination

one of the craziest things you can do on linux is adjust the brightness of an external monitor, you can't do that on macos or windows but it works on bazzite out the box

I love neovim specifically the lazy vim distro, but I kinda had to stop using it as mason's rust analyzer is slow and frequently gets stuck on an error even though I already resolved it like 5 minutes ago, had to switch to zed 🫠

the rust borrow checker is killing me fr

games that tell you how long its been since the last time you saved when you exit are the best fr

I built a portable Xbox. This isn't a PC handheld, it isn't emulation, this is a real motherboard from a real Xbox. It has a 9” 480p display, pure digital video/audio, 100W USB C charge and play, and I'm currently adding WiFi 6 for wireless Xbox Live functionality. Yes, really.

I got my name without any numbers on blue sky nice
