I am with someone at an event, talking about the protest that unfortunately, we are missing. I said: "I hope we just keep on protesting" and she said "We need a protest culture, not protest events." Solid statement.

Question: I was at grocery store. Cashier was very polite ("please, thank you, find everything okay?") and EVERY TIME someone said "thank you" to her she said "of course!", same intonation pattern, same, same, same. I have thoughts but not sure what to make of it. Is this a thing?
