I mean, whoever wrote the words "a provocative gesture that resembled the controversial salute Elon Musk gave at a post-inauguration rally last month" with their fingers, i hope you are super embarrassed

I'd like the media to at least start asking "why is Musk in all these interviews, talking to the people on behalf of their elected president?" It's literally never happened in the history of the POTUS on TV, and no one even acknowledges it.

*sigh* "those affected say" ... really wish we had reporters instead of whatever the people who work for the Freep who are just "typing up what some people say." These are facts we can check! Are they true (yes), then say so!

Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance.
Democracy requires your courage.
So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let despair overcome us when our country needs us the most.

Speaking of trying to shoehorn everything into a binary frame: “regulation good” vs “regulation bad” is exactly that. Some regulations are bad & we’d be better off if they were looser or very different. Others are absolutely worth the costs they impose.

You can't appease a bully and if you try to preempt their bullying, they'll come back for more. Very disenheartening to see UMich leadership cowering like this.

There are parents out there that are so scared vaccines cause autism (it doesn't), they don't vaccinate their children. To me, this says a lot about a parent who would rather risk a dead child then an autistic one.

If you live in New York and want a say in who the Democratic nominee is, you have to change your party registration to Democrat by Thursday (online) or Friday (in person). It’s a closed primary. Independents and unaffiliated can’t vote in June!
