Wondering what you would urge Harrison to do with that breaking ball. Some pitching metrics like Pitcher List’s Stuff & PLV show an above avg pitch yet guys I put faith in (like Eno Sarris) are so disinterested in Harrison. Eno has said his arm slot will be an issue for his secondaries.

And of course I do think Roupp is too good to go back to AAA, but that’s a separate conversation about whether or not the Verlander thing makes any sense

If the decision is about putting together the best possible 5-man rotation to open the season, you give that spot to Birdsong without a second thought. The conversation can’t be about that, though, because then you’re demoting a former top prospect who was given 24 starts the year prior.

When contacting our congresspeople, should we keep our voicemail messages/emails short & to 1 topic or give a barrage of all the things they should be more vocal about?

This may be your best post.

Shipping off Rogers to save $6 mill w/out a 2nd lefty in the bullpen is quite the polar opposite direction vs paying Bregman $40 mill AAV to play 2B. I’m not saying you’ve got to do that Bregman deal, but this roster is just kinda weird and at the lower end of mediocre. They seem cool with that. 👎

I’m concerned this will be a trend that continues as MAGA has media by the balls and they are squeezing.

One of those nights where Deuce & Mo will be listened to but I’m skipping the game. Kangz are in a timeout.

But now that they won’t platoon as much and have reduced their analytics department & scouting department they will just magically be good again. Not impressed thus far.

hitters to adjust their swings for optimal attack angles, etc.

It’s not all about constantly pinch hitting or platooning. Analysts provide hugely important data to help pitchers game-plan, hitters to know what a guy is likely to throw in a particular situation, pitchers adjusting their arsenal to maximize pitch shape,

I’m still hearing “they will be good again because they are getting away from analytics finally” all too often. First off, they fell way behind the good teams on this.

When my 7 yr old reacts to something I’m pissed at nowadays, I just tell him to not worry since I worry about this stuff enough for both of us.

One of many tough things going on right now is basically that. Paying attention and not having a reciprocal in-person outlet for this particular conversation would be hard. It’s hard to blame people for doing this, but you also probably need to keep trying? Things are already pretty bad.

Have you tried some of their other whiskeys? Some good ones IMO from that distillery.

My kids are fans! My 7 yr old is almost done reading the books and loved the first movie.

It’s not a multiverse thing is it? That’s kinda been done to death.

Like so many other things right now, if people would just follow the money of baseball, they’d direct their anger appropriately (vast majority towards owners).

This whole argument is pointless because players won’t agree to a cap & owners won’t agree to a floor. Probably can’t have one without the other. Also, 29/30 teams are not going to open their books.

Luis Robert trade inbound? Pages + Miller or May to CHW. Then you can “build your bench” with Edman replacing Taylor as super util.

The draft picks attached are just such a deal breaker. The short term deal is appealing for the skills decline, sure, but you are giving up kinda a lot in draft capital for a lineup band aid.

Just thinking of post-hype guys on teams where they are either largely blocked or pitching is needed.

Any names you have on your wishlist? Vaughn Grissom, Jared Kelenic, Tyler Soderstrom, Andy Pages or Jordan Walker grab your attention? I realize most of those names will take a lot more than a Whisenhunt-type return.

Dragging Kyle Tucker through the arbitration process after just trading for him while almost certainly trying to extend him… is a choice.
