Super! Kelly Reichardt 👏👏👏

This was always the intention imo. A role In government with no department and no concrete portfolio (although I know that she in titular charge of housing policy). More Rayner, less Streeting is essential. Out-doing Reform in the culture wars/racism stakes is a disastrous idea.

Always used to think teaching the NI stuff was difficult but the USA and UK has been insane recently. The anti-Trans/racist narratives have particularly hurt (especially when you have LGBTQ students having to hear the discriminatory shit).

Agree completely Ian. Respect their restless innovation, regardless of whether it always suits my tastes!

Cheers Paul. Kind words and I know you’re right. It’s just difficult to remember sometimes…

Enjoying that too! I feel more ambivalent about some of their stuff but there are 4 or so albums that I adore

Honestly. Got home and she hadn’t felt up to going to her leavers event at school. She felt so low and then opens that… The smile and the joy just brought a lump to my throat and a tear to the eye. Legend xx

Hey! Hopefully you will dig the cinema chat on here as much as elsewhere. It is generally a much kinder and friendlier place 👍👍👍

YES!!!!! Comfort listening for me, my friend. Takes me back to my miserable teens 🤣👍

He was so deadpan and relaxed. Articulate and funny, it was a pleasant change from being disappointed by your heroes 🤣👍

I have loved listening to it since release day but nothing beats physical media… 😎👍

Super! Thanks Jacqui! Hope it gets a theatrical release in the UK. Getting to talk to him during a Q&A at Belfast Film Festival was a privilege and a joy. An amazing guy and filmmaker

She was a hit with students and colleagues alike when I chose a Jackson story for book club. Appeals to a diverse readership!

Thoroughly enjoyed ‘Happiness, As Such’ too. Yet to be anything less than wowed by a Natalia Ginzburg book 🙏

🤣🤣🤣 We read that story in Senior Book Club this year. A few of my students were suitably disturbed!!

Colin, you will love it!!! Jackson is such a fine writer

Slow is a crackerjack film! Intriguing central theme and intimate in its cinematographic style, I adored it.

An absolute belter! Love the film but the book is peerless 👏❤️

Looking it up NOW. Stankonia was my life (for a wee bit) at university. Then the double album soundtracked my travels in Hong Kong and Oz. Special folks ❤️😎
