There are too many good protests lyrics for me to choose from. But if you need a soundtrack for these days, this is an ever-growing playlist of protest/political songs that don’t suck that I’ve been curating since 2017: open.spotify.com/playlist/5JM...

There’s a Denver event happening on the west steps of the Capitol. I’m meeting up with friends there around noon if you’re thinking of going.

During my time, it was the same revolving door story for people experiencing homelessness who got rapid rehousing vouchers vs permanent supportive housing. So it shouldn’t have surprised anyone to get the same result with this demographic too.

Does the data show what % of eviction filings were for tenants who are new immigrant arrivals? Early in the year, I worried about the number of folks getting placed in units who didn’t have work permits yet and/or long-term stable income streams.

This is a bit out of left field, but Nathan Hill’s novel Wellness includes a chapter “The Needy Users: A Drama in Seven Algorithms”—brilliant illustration of an old man’s radicalization through FB’s algorithms. Lots of food for thought/discussion about how algorithms push perceptions of reality.

I know the ceasefire resolution sponsors are also working on these issues, but it’s worth pointing out that ZERO items on that list are City Council’s job, if we’re going by what their powers are under the city charter.
