It’s a classic request made by ignorant managers taking over a function. It can be made to sound smart but isn’t really and is very dumb at this scale and scope.

That I don’t know. I haven’t gone that far down the rabbit hole. Yet.

As a current Cleveland Circle resident and old map obsessive, you’ve accidentally stumbled across two of my interests.

Cleveland Circle used to be an actual traffic circle, the remains of which can be seen from an overhead view.

One small note: I think that should be "13 known children." Are there more? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can't recommend K.B. Wagers NeoG books highly enough. Think queer Coast Guard in space.

I share your strongly held opinion but have had only mixed results in implementing it.

That would be Alex Spiro who <checks notes> is also Elon Musk's personal attorney.

This is anticipatory quotation of his (former?) client, the so called only elected member of the Executive Branch.

Trump seemingly bypassed the Board on Geographic Names and instructed the Secretary of Commerce to have the name changed. One of the more minor crimes of this regime. Once the name is in the Geographic Name Information System, map makers really do have to comply.

The fact that Trump completely bypassed the US Board on Geographic Names in apparent violation of Public_Law_80-242 is among the lesser crimes of this regime.

This order does not seem to restrict access to the computer code of the system, just the data on which the code acts. It's certainly a victory to re-introduce the rule of law to this situation, but it doesn't appear to be a "get out of Treasury's computers" order.

Do they not understand that read/write access *to* *the* *code* has an even greater potential for disaster as read/write access to the data?
I don't want to minimize the reality that restoring the rule of law around any of this is a victory. But the job is not over.
