I've always had trouble with Minecraft as far as longevity goes, but I'm always had trouble with the amount of bloat that big Minecraft modpacks can come with. This concept you've got sounds like the perfect mix of spice on top of the vanilla Minecraft experience.

As far as requesting asylum goes, I don't think that'll be an avenue to pursue unless the US goes full goose-stepping, armband wearing, heil-hitlering saluting fascism. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I recall there were some early attempts for trans folks to claim refugee status in Canada, but failed

I got lucky in that my parents were Canadian citizens before they had me, so I had gotten citizenship because of that. That said, there seems to be a few avenues available for prospective immigrants to Canada.
