10: a blessing from nhaama! he's (at least until late dawntrail) uneasy about links to azem, Would Not pass it off to someone else bc it started his journey from the steppe and he sees it as an inextricable part of him, and thinks it was given to him for a reason (even if he's not entirely sure why)

9: it's the puter but honestly i might work in the ardbert thing. while coming up with fake answers for a lot of these i was like "wait that's cool actually maybe i should work that in" (see: his leg broke after scaring a gulo gulo with a thunder spell -> scaring a matamata with a blizzard spell)

7: muge steals one of atlas' earrings from the elpis lost and found
8: the sons of st coinach; he joins the brotherhood of ash amaljaa after arr and never joins the onishishu nor the forum (although monto is on the forum during the events of 6.0!)

6: muge, son of a khatun, who set off on his own and lost new friends, whose motivation to self-improve goes from living up to his family's reputation and being "good enough" to saving everybody that he can for the sake of justice and life? his closest match is alisaie

5: grienard "woolen socks" of the eighth house of pinehome is an unrelated oc from the first, idk who his ancient is but it's not atlas! the others are:
first: ardbert hylfyst, warrior of light
ninth: moraine, origenics warehouse technician
thirteenth: begoe gabbiani, sorceress of lightning

4: three! he has a bell-cane he brought from home but loses fleeing uldah right before 3.0->he's given one of count fortemps' spare canes (the unicorn-headed one from his concept art)->the exarch has a bluespirit one commissioned for him so he has it ready by the time muge appears in the crystarium

3: maybe calling it a "forehead horn" is misleading because it's not the same structure as his side horns but yes his forehead scales stick out like a little horn. it has no watsonian meaning (his mother has one as well) but doylistically it of course refers to ff summoners usually getting a horn

lead mtg designer mark rosewater has a tumblr for answering asks and there's a running bit about the legal team forbidding the eating of delicious cards. i won't tell if you don't

same with phantom dragoon, dragoons as we know them started with the dragonsong war which started around a thousand years ago, after the war of the magi (perhaps the founders of ishgard were looking for a new home explicitly because of calamity damage). dravanian orthodoxy?? heavensward is forever

phantom blm and phantom whm will be interesting to see how those jobs developed, especially curious to see whm considering it's pretty much exclusively been gridanian padjal using it since then. rdm was explicitly invented post-calamity so maybe it's the precursor "elezen dueling techniques"?

phantom mystic knight is presumably a karnak thing considering "The brave warriors of Karnak outfitted themselves with magnificent turbans and an arsenal of arcane weapons" (see image. yeow). also phantom necromancer might be skallic considered all the ghosts and ghoulies in that dungeon
