Like A Dragon Pirate Yakuza is.... actually excellent?! I wasn't sure an entire game dedicated to Majima would really work, but they've made this bizarrely (and effectively) earnest and heartfelt despite the utterly ridiculous staging and story. RGG have only gone and done it. Again.

Fatal Fury City of Wolves is really good. It's nice to play a considerably calmer fighting game for a change. (SF6 is my favourite fighting game ever, but lord is it stressful to play).

I had a quick blast on a level on RE6 a couple of days ago. And I had a spectacularly good time. Those combat mechanics man, they're still some of the best in a third person shooter. It's undoubtedly one of the most flawed and uneven games in the series, but I can't lie. I kinda love it.

Just completed Igor's/Bayle the Dread storyline in Elden Ring. Incredible. Was basically a Miyazaki spin on Moby Dick with some of the greatest voice acting ever recorded.

NIGHTREIGN is an excellent spin on Elden Ring. I'm still unsure whether this needs to be a full release as opposed to a DLC addon until we see more, but what is there is great. That FROM have taken Elden Ring and crafted this really fun multiplayer only maddens me more Capcom can't seem to for RE.

Brave New World is certainly not without it's faults, and the reshoots stand out like a sore thumb. That said, it remains mostly coherent and is honestly quite a lot of fun. The cast do their best with the material, the action is decent and it's great to have a break from the multiverse. 7/10

As someone who has (somehow) managed to Platinum all the FROM Soulsborned, it's always been good that all the trophies (bar two in Demon's Souls PS5) are all available offline. It concerns me that for Nightreign, this may not be true anymore, and thus only a finite time to get them. 😩

I can lose to a boss over and over and not feel frustration (well trained thanks to FROM games). You just take a breath and try again. But when you hit retry and the game hits you with: DO YOU WANT TO LOWER YOUR DIFFICULTY??!?!? It boils my blood instantly. 🤣 Piss off game! Let me go back in now!
