This kid has fought so hard to come back from a devastating mental illness. He will continue to fight, but I’m just disgusted by our current government.

Disabilities look like many different things. He no longer needs the wheelchair, but he may need some assistance on the job, or some extra time to complete school assignments. I worry that he could now be freely fired for taking an extra break on the job, something his 504 currently protects.

One of the things I’ve been scared about with this idiotic regime in DC is that his rights as a person with a disability will be stripped and he will no longer be protected. His rituals have been vastly reduced through therapy and medication, but they still affect a small portion of his day.

I have started providing alt text because my son has severe OCD and when it was at its worst, there were times he could LISTEN to a description but not look at it. In this case, any description, even using colors, would help. You just never know. I figure anything is helpful.

💯 true. In college, the gay bars were the only place I felt safe. I loved the drag shows. Orlando had some great places. I marveled at how everyone fit in, everyone was included, everyone mattered. I stopped trying to figure out gender expression and just enjoyed myself.

4/ Democrats support law enforcement but that support comes with an understanding that "bad" police officers need to be held accountable and not shielded. Supporting first responders shouldn't be a partisan issue. However Republicans have spit in my face over the last 4 years.
