I think people are too used to the singular collective opinion of websites like IGN etc. to realise that a website can have multiple people share different perspectives.

Won't be taking action on this. Depending on what state my channel is in after Twitch finish chipping away 957 hours of footage, it's likely that I'll nuke the whole lot and start afresh. Exporting to YouTube would mean more headaches.

There is, of course, the option to make an entirely seperate account but that's a hassle of its own.

Instead of road signs, Gilead have "co-ordinates" instead of words. It's this level of immersion that allows the viewer to sink into the story, little details in the background like that.

It's forbidden for the women (except aunts) of Gilead to read or write, so when the Waterfords go for their Canada visit, the wife is handed this "schedule". It's a small scene that hits insanely hard.

One thing that I'll never get used to is Elizabeth Moss' rapid loud ass inhale when she does a tearful cry sob scene. "I need to save my daughter *HHHHHHH*"

It's a good show, enjoying the mystery behind it.

Am I trapped? Or is this my brain telling me that everything is fine, and that it's ok to be part of something destructive and that it's all money at the end of the day?

I've always been told that it's "a means to an end", that there's something better and bigger waiting at the end of the tunnel that'll give me a purpose in life. That was probably year 7 or 8 of working. It's now been almost 17 years.

I feel like the "always on display" view is a redundant, battery sapping feature, considering you just need to touch the screen to look at the time, or raise your arm if you have that gesture thing on. It's fine if the watch is charging, but for regular use it doesn't serve much of a purpose.

After 5 days of usage: + Battery is down to 49% with moderate use + Sleep tracker is a lot more accurate, and damning + Getting used to its design - Stress level measurements are kinda all over the place, feels more like a gimmick rather than a necessity

I think there's instances where there's three beats in a line and they can be blasted with the up key, so kinda like a fourth lane? Looks interesting, really like how it incorporates Crypt of the Necrodancer's monster patterns, but just know I'll be absolutely terrible at it 😅

@alexapdos.bsky.social think this works with dance mats?

It did only cost €47, which is crazy value for something with features that Apple are selling for ten times as much, but with more "phone features".

Its inability to accept calls is a weird one, especially when using bluetooth earpods. Can only decline calls on the device. Also no font settings, stuck with basic butt Roboto, which is used in 95% of available watch faces, which unlike the Gear Fit2 faces, have zero customisation options.

I'll never get a smartwatch, ever. Reason being there's far too much distraction and gimmicks with those things. It's like strapping another phone to your wrist. A fitness tracker on the other hand serves a single purpose without being $400-$500 and being able to play PSP games on it (real)

Also, when I restored the Gear Fit2, a message popped up saying that newer phones released last year no longer supported the entire "Gear" brand, which is a very Samsung thing to do. So, probably time to upgrade anyway.

I will say I'm not keen on the new, more generic form factor of the Fit3 versus the previous model, but it was 50 bucks and has blood oxygen reading, as well as better sleep monitoring which I need to work on. There's just something really nice about the curved glass design of the Fit2.

"Fanzine made of Flesh" is a brainworm. Reminds me of "Party in the Dark" with its filtered vocals and heavy guitar sections. It's the track you show to everyone that doesn't know what instrumental rock or """"""post-rock"""""" is.

God, I remember being fond of the "loading bar" at the top.

As a collection of tracks, it's a great homage to their previous work - "The Hawk is Howling" comes to mind in the mid-section with the slower more emotional tracks which was one of my favourite albums from Mogwai. As an album, it'll probably take me 100 more listens of it to fully appreciate it.

I remember years ago, I downloaded an album and the entire tracklist was alphabetised, not by track number. I listened to that album on repeat, thinking that's the way it was intended, but the original flow of that album felt inferior as a result. Listening to "The Bad Fire" reminded me of that.

When I first played 2.0 years and years ago, I never really bothered with changing settings to match weather/road conditions, but the Rally School bit in 1 actually encouraged you to adapt your car for best performance to get extra points. Also "Car Sympathy" scoring made me laugh.

Any game that lets you smash up an enemy tank and then put bits of the enemy tank on your tank is a winner in my book.
