They’re positively sprinting past every new goalpost. Appeasement only gives them a boost to the next one.

The president was black, they weren’t fascists, there was no American gestapo. Reality is so much worse than most satire predicted.

Legitimately cannot tell if you’re trying to make some kind of meta joke or are actually just … like this.

I fear their fabricated reality will not allow them to find anything out. They will blame every problem large or small on anyone, anything that they’re instructed to. They have rejected objectivity even as a concept.

Every day of this nightmare I read something altogether new to inject me with fresh terror. The concept of the Bitcoin Standard requires that I self-medicate via weaponized hallucinogen.

I want to believe that this kind of individual effort can turn the tide but without an answer to the vast universe of right wing propaganda, I don’t see it as an effective use of energy.

My friend has a maga coworker, and he talks to him about policy & culture war stuff, patiently & reasonably, & sometimes the dude seems to agree with him after considering new info and perspective. Every time, they talk the next day and coworker has been reprogrammed back to zero. It’s a cult.
