Unlike Musk, cracking down on college students and destroying their lives is a relatively cost free endeavor. They can freely go after those without any institutional power while leaving the biggest purveyors of hate untouched because their wealth and power insulates them. It's cowardice.

I’ve been seeing a lot of “respectfully disagree” posts that use nearly identical language as they attempt to “engage”, regardless of what they’re replying to. I suspect they’re trying to use reply engagement to train their machine learning algorithms. *Definitely* not malevolent…/s

Some might, most might not. But conservatives have long been working to undermine elections, so I suspect that more aggressive measures to strip away voting access would be embraced by the right without much of an eye blink.
