@adamjogee.bsky.social will you take up this important opportunity please?

I feel compelled to remind everyone that the original case this was about was whether trans women could be included in considering how many women are on a public board in Scotland. That's it. And this is where it has gotten us.

This is the reality of trans exclusionary policy. It makes our existence in a space fraught, it forces us to the margins, outs us against our will.

The first and only question anyone defending Labour's immigration plans needs to be asked is "what's next?" Once they have turned away migrants what is next? How will they fill shortages beyond press ganging people into jobs? #r4today 1/ www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

At the close of @transhistoryweek.com take a little time to read this thread. Trans history has been erased before, by the forebears of the people who are doing the same now - who claim that being trans is a fad, a modern ideology. There is nothing new under the sun. Trans people have always been.

this thread is the best book I’ve read all year and my key takeaway is that Pope Leo may have used his first homily to declare war on the US bishops council’s right-wing ghoul caucus

"It has to be exhausting to be so intentionally hateful and perpetually enraged like this. Pray for them. They need way more help from God than the White Sox ever will." charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/these-peop...

** Second video out from me now (10 May)** Thanks to @QueerAF for marking the end of Trans History Week by editing and publishing this recording from me today. #lgbtq #lgbt #trans #humanrights youtu.be/KNjMdhwTYnM?...

Brilliant, informative and encouraging rollercoaster of a thread from "the internet's gay Catholic aunt" about the new Pope. TL;DR - re reform on LGBTQ+ and women he seems like good news. Francis wasn't the guy, but his key legacy may be opening the door for Leo.

There’s a lot of talk about the ā€˜trans agenda’, but what is it that trans people actually want? Find out what we’re fighting for: transactual.org.uk/the-dream-vs-reality (Note: the resource was written before the UK Supreme Court ruling) #Trans #Nonbinary #TransRights #Liberation #DreamVsReality

We're collecting data and stories on what the appalling Supreme Court decision means for trans and gender non conforming people. Lawyers will review all responses - please share your story because if we don't know we can't act. (And please share with friends.) goodlawproject.org/about/trans-...

There's, like, one terf in each of these hospitals convinced they speak for all women, isn't there? Whining because the hospital hasn't apologised for imaginary hurt caused by a non-problem. I am confident I speak for far more cis women when I say they can piss off.

92 years ago today the world’s only research institute about trans people was destroyed by the Nazis. All transphobia is inherently fascist.

Hello World! Welcome to followers changing channels from LinkedIn. Thank you everyone following me for the first time. Here is a video link to an address I gave at the start of Trans History Week. Wherever you are, know the UK is trans-hostile. It will take 12mins of your life. youtu.be/IPU6XN4lOvw

This letter from Tony Vaughan KC, the MP for Folkestone, is the clearest articulation I’ve seen on the flaws of the interim update from the EHRC. The section titled ā€˜Legal Incoherence’ hits the nail on the head.

Parliament is going to have a debate on self-ID on 19th May. If your MP is supportive of trans rights, it’s really important that you write to them to ask them to be there. The transphobes will turn out in force - we need to make sure allies do too.

Coming soon: Labour responds to the failure of its Nigel Farage tribute act by trying even harder to be a Nigel Farage tribute act whilst closing its eyes to the evidence of where that path led the Tories.

In the general election I held my nose and voted Labour despite their obvious violent lunch to the right, because getting the Tories out was my highest priority. Now as they throw trans people, disabled people and immigrants under the bus I realise I was a mug. Won't be doing that again.

Friends don't let friends vote for bigots: Vote Green or LibDem.

Just the BBC casually parroting the transphobic trope that trans women "are biologically male but identify as women". No they fucking aren't. The BBC might at least pretend to be impartial. Please complain if you can bear it. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... www.bbc.co.uk/contact/comp...

There's not a single crime in the history of the UK that would have been prevented by a bathroom bill. Not one Bathroom bills aren't about safety, they're about trying to exclude LGBT people from public life. That's it

This "debate" about who should use what toilet doesn’t benefit anyone. It doesn’t fix the underfunding of women's refuges, NHS waiting lists leaving women in terrible pain, mums skipping meals to feed their kids. How about we get on with tackling the real issues affecting women?

An excellent thread on why cis allies must refuse the framing that trans people are "biologically" the sex they were assigned at birth. Biology is far more complex and fascinating than that! Trans allyship should reject that premise entirely.

The EHRC are now trying to push through their guidance without oversight - we need to take action. #transrightsarehumanrights

The British Medical Association Resident Doctors are the backbone of the NHS, they look after us all in hospital. They passed this motion at their conference which pulls the ā€œsupremeā€ court judgement to pieces. They call it ā€œscientifically illiterateā€ and ā€œbiologically nonsensicalā€ 1/3

In all sports that don't have a weight or height restriction, we do not place a cap on a single natural physical trait...except endogenous testosterone in trans & DSD women. Even though there are other physical traits that can confer a competitive advantages far exceeding 10%-12%

Today I've written to Bridget Phillipson to ask for clarity on how the government will ensure trans people's rights in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling and EHRC guidance. At a moment of extreme worry and distress for the trans community, govt must step up and give assurances.

Read my analysis here! And support QueerAF, who are breaking their backs trying to help me get this info out there!

A trans woman wrote to Wetherspoons to ask which toilets they're meant to use. Wetherspoons replied acknowledging the Supreme Court's verdict...and that trans customers can use whichever loos they want to but to please lock the cubicle door. Labour now being outflanked on the left by Wetherspoons.

Spotted, in the wild. A transgender. Such a danger to society that they must be banned from all bathrooms as a sensible reasonable and proportional measure. Can't you sense the threat? It radiates out of the screen.

If you want to know how serious our decline in the UK, when North Carolina did what the Labour Government and EHRC have done, the then UK Government told LGBT+ people to beware travelling there. (Credit to @kazhawa.bsky.social.) www.voanews.com/amp/uk-issue...
