All Republicans can do is burn down. What have they tried to build in the last 60 years?

Our friend Quince Mountain became the first openly trans musher in Iditarod history in 2020....but his race was halted midway through when the pandemic hit and it was no longer safe to continue. This year, he's going back to race again. Let's please support him below. <3:

A debate over Housing First, the federal government's central homelessness policy, is shaping up to be a major conflict under Trump. But it's a debate bound up in confusion over what Housing First even *is* and what it's supposed to accomplish. The confusion is understandable...

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

It is like me saying I want to weigh 150 lbs and immediately cutting off an arm and a leg to get there. No plan.

Just came from my community’s education fund fundraiser. And these communities that know the resources and the needs are incredible! Kudos to this volunteer leader and community.

Just finished “How To Leave The House” by Nathan Newman. Recommend, but don’t feel like I can turn to my left or right surrounded by midwestern moms and say “I loved this book about a petulant 23 yo bisexual man leaving for University and are you a Keaton or a Chaplin?” And so I say it here!

Just realizing that I have been confusing Kelly Clarkson with Carrie Underwood all day. Good news that I can continue ignoring Carrie Underwood.

Heading into a week of building community and then circling the family together for a long weekend. Everyone get sleep, hug a loved one and focus on what matters to you!

Soft launch of 2025 today. Back at it, but only sorta. Kids still home, all streaming queues cleared. Time to get moving.

Solidarity to the other parents dropping 19 yo off at NYE parties. Picking them up later tonight/early 2025 b/c their suburban high school scenes are not as conducive to getting them home safely as their college living situations!

New Year’s Eve.

Last sunrise of the year! My family has small plans for the day and I’ll be ready for the new year that has lots of change lined up for me. Cheers to 2024 and welcome 2025.
