So far in this thread you have told Albertans how much they believe in Smith, how much they actually hate her, and how much they hate being told what to do.
Perhaps you actually don’t know much about Albertans at all.

This makes a bold assumption that neighbouring countries will be accepting border crossings. You actually can’t just cross into Canada (or probably Mexico) with all your worldly goods on a whim.

Sure, Danielle Smith is a sh$tshow that needs to go. But, I couldn’t even get far enough through this article to get to the point.
‘The difference with Alberta and Quebec is that Alberta is an economic power (though in terminal decline), and Quebec is actually legitimately special.’ Nonsense!

I’m so curious about what is actually happening in the US. I see those protests but, I mean, that would be a massive shift in voter sentiment if AOC or Bernie could gain national traction. Is this really what is happening? Would be absolutely spectacular if so.

Too busy throwing up the perpetual prairie tantrum all over herself. She is an embarrassment.

Yet, I fear it will make no difference when the Wexit fascists (spurred on by our dear premier) lose their sh$t and rage at the injustice. Alberta feels like it is going to get real ugly, real quick.

Elizabeth May is a national treasure and one of the very few leaders who seems to actually be thinking more about country than party right now.

This is due to Bill C-18. Because Meta doesn’t want to have to pay for news content. www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6885634

The CBC did seem to insinuate, in a way that only a non-Albertan would miss, that Notley could run federally.

Ugh. I’m in Edmonton Centre. Please save me from having to vote for ‘other Randy’ Randy Boissonneault.

No joke. As a Canadian who was recently in eastern Washington, I have to admit it was uncomfortable (though slightly less so than Idaho 😱😱).

It sounds like they are implying only career politicians can ever govern without conflict…which is an odd take.

Thank you for this. It has been weighing on me now many of these images I see in a day. Just say NO to this BS. This is NOT ‘progressive.’

Can’t wait for all the yahoos who whined about the carbon tax to be absolutely shocked when they don’t get the carbon tax credit after April.

Can you provide some details on this? Sounds like you have some inside information that many of us might not be privy to.

Is this the guy who said Carney had nothing but slogans?

Oh well, I was just pointing out there is a Minister. You are free to feel however you like about it.

I read the comments. Seems like the vast majority are pretty darn positive. Certainly, this is not a perfect cabinet, but Canadians appear broadly optimistic.

Would be nice if she directed some of her new-found enthusiasm for diplomacy to her own federal govt. Maybe she could make a deal in the interest of Albertans and Canadians.

Carney is seemingly an old school ‘progressive’ conservative. Hopefully, he will, and must, also attract back the middling Canadians who need a reason NOT to vote for CPC and the extremist glad-handing Pollievre
