Agreed. But that does not mean we need to be nasty and vengeful. What we need to do is focus on the people who can be reasoned with, the goal being to outnumber the MAGA cult as much as possible. DON'T LET THE CULT DISTRACT US.

The strategy is an old one for Republicans: Cut taxes for just a few years, avoiding the need to account for their cost over the long term, and bet that the reductions become popular enough that Congress will later vote to continue them.

Actually, it’s BOTH Trump and the MAGA crowd. Trump’s one true talent is demagoguery – getting large numbers of people to BELIEVE his rantings. Without that talent (even WITH the millions of bigots out there), Trump would be just another crazoid screaming delusions from a street corner.

Back before vaccines, we had sanitariums, where people with infectious diseases would be locked away until they recovered. So – which loss of FREEDOM do you prefer? A needle in the arm, or being locked away for a few weeks.
