Shanghai Color 400 film test before & after. L is straight out of scan & R is color corrected and basic editing in Lightroom. This test is shot at 400 ISO. Location is an indoor mall with large skylights. At 400 there is a definite blue / green tint with a good amount of grain & a bit desaturated.

Indianapolis - Hasselblad X-Pan with Dubblefilm Solar developed with CineStill C-41 #filmphotography #streetphotography

Guess what Iā€™m doing? šŸ˜ŗ

Looking a thru the SHJC Film website & see they offer OEM services. Mmmm maybe I need to launch my own film šŸ˜‰

SHJC Shanghai Color 400 test shot at ISO 200 on a bright day. Colors tend to be a bit desaturated

Test shot with Shanghai Color 400 shot at ISO 200 developed with C-41. Slight green tint in the shadows & midtones. Visible grain primarily in the shadows but visible throughout

OK, I scanned my 1st 2 test short rolls of the SHJC Film Labs Shanghai Color 400 35mm film that is now available in 36ex & 100ā€™ rolls. I bought 100ā€™ to see if it might be a viable option as a low cost, everyday option or as a specialized type of film to use in certain conditions. Because I bought

Next post on my Shanghai Color 400 test. This time the test roll was shot at 200 with both in the inside mall but also outside on a bright day. The colors seem to be better behaved and less greenish at 200 and in daylight. Once again I'll know more once I do some color grading. Promising!

Next post for my experiment with Shanghai Color 400. The first roll was shot at 400 and primarily shot indoors (inside downtown mall). The scans are NOT color adjusted yet. Everything appears to have a greenish tint especially in the shadows. It will be interesting to see one color corrected.

OK, I developed the 2 test rolls of Shanghai Color 400 that I bought in bulk from SHJC Film Lab (manufacturer). Everything indicates it's the same film or VERY similar to ORWO NC500. Both films look EXACTLY the same before exposed (yellow tinted emulsion side / dark brown back of film). Neither

Testing out the Shanghai Color 400 that I recently bought. Interested in seeing the results
