.. and the discovery that it's not legal to drive a Tesla Cybertruck on UK roads, so no market for it here. Surely that's the sort of thing that should have been considered at the design stage.

www.forbes.com/sites/peterl... Tesla trucks tip the scales at 6,898 pounds - sharp edges are a pedestrian hazard - 30X steel is 3x harder than normal car steel: it fails to absorb collision impact, leaving passengers at greater risk. Tesla Cybertrucks Banned In U.K. for Safety Failures.

Going to need a massive expansion of the apprenticeship program (which would be a good thing), because I don't see there being enough people with the necessary skills to work on so many projects. Either that or a significant influx of foreign workers, and I can't see that going down well.

Canada should apply tariffs on goods entering from the US (from the south or the north), even if not destined to be sold in Canada. Alaskans would soon be begging to join Canada rather than Canada joining the US

Canada also supply it to the US at below world market rates. If they end the discount, that tariff is going to get even bigger.

Chile, Argentina, Australia, Canada... quite a few countries. But Tesla gets its Lithium from China...

Oh absolutely, but that's not the story Trump will try to tell.

No doubt as prices fall back when tariffs are not actually put in place, Trump will try to take the credit.

Good evening Womble! After a day of running around doing jobs for other people, I'm about to make a start on 'Death in a lonely place' by Stig Abell. Thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series.

I once searched how much blood there was in an 8-year-old's body. It was to help my son with his homework, honest.

But if she even suggested anything like that Bob Blackman would be inundated with letters expressing no confidence in her. It would only take 19 letters to trigger a vote, and the whole merry go round starts all over again.

An interesting quartet. I've only read the Farmer, but think I have a copy of the Dick somewhere. It's probably in one of the (many) boxes in my attic!
