One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.

The travesty of today’s journalism isn’t just at the NY Times, LA Times, and Washington Post. When you see your paper being shitty, move on until they either change course or until they get replaced. Put your money & support toward the places that have some level of thoughtfulness about the moment.

After 3 months, the Mississippi Free Press's BlueSky has already surpassed 50k followers. It took 5 years of work, on the other hand, to build a (declining) following of just 22k on Twitter/X. The old place ALWAYS made it harder for independent media to grow. Follow @mississippifreepress.org!
