Mothering Sunday's at the end of this month. If your Mum's dead and you'd like me to read out her name in Lancaster Priory on the morning of the 30th, please respond to this with her name and tag the post #RememberedMums25. Reposts welcome. 👑 ❤️

Seem Isak coming off was just tiredness, rather than a likely injury. That’s one positive at least. Quite a few players running on fumes today. Just over a week until the West Ham game. Personally, I’d play our strongest team and not think about resting anyone - we could do with some sharpness #NUFC

Urgh. We certainly aren’t going into the League Cup final in any sort of form or confidence (and a key man short completely pointlessly). Nothing in that game between the sides, really. A frustrating and potentially costly afternoon #NUFC

Interesting team selection, bit of rotation to rest probably, but likely some dissatisfaction with some of what has been seen recently. Hopefully it works, tough game ahead of us. #Howaythelads #NUFC

To be honest, the current rule could be to award a bunch of flowers and a peck on the cheek from the ref for all we actually see it applied.

Trump and Vance are an absolute disgrace. www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

I wanted to go to Leicester away, but now can’t. Would’ve thought that’d be safe from being picked up by TV. Cheers Sky. 🤬

Probably what we expected. #NUFC did well in spells, frustratingly just before Liverpool’s second for instance. As for how that impacts what happens in 2.5 weeks time, for me it shows we’ll need to be absolutely on it and with Isak, Joelinton and Botman available to stand a chance.

Liverpool extending their lead on the break was always a significant risk. Can’t help feel that both goals should’ve been prevented though. #NUFC

Still in it, for now at least. Not been blown away. Disappointing goal to concede, had quite a few of those of late. Isak playing and we could be level. Wilson will get another chance I’m sure, hopefully that layer of rust will have fell off by the time it comes. #NUFC

Still only 1-0, #NUFC had sights of goal. It just feels inevitable that a Liverpool break will make it 2-0 at some point soon.

Pope doing his best to make me look like a complete idiot for wanting him in over Dubravka. Next time he features in this game it better be a world class save, or a clearance that plays in Gordon to score.

Isak out tonight #NUFC

#NUFC have an extraordinarily bad record against Liverpool at their gaff, plus a generally poor one anywhere. If we do somehow pull off a win tonight, I’ll be worried we’ve used up this decade’s win prematurely.

As it stands, five points cover 10th to 3rd in the PL.

What is it with our fanbase and appointing scapegoats? Pope getting pelters for yesterday. His ‘positioning’ for the first goal, was terrible apparently. Dubravka is now Gordon Banks reincarnated seemingly. Check out Bromley’s similar goal and the winner against Fulham, then get back to me. #NUFC

Things really ramping up between #NUFC and Liverpool ahead of the League Cup Final I see.

I’m choosing to focus on the positives of yesterday & there were plenty. We dismantled a team in 3rd in that first half, pulling them all over the place & creating chances at will. 2nd half was poor but game management can be developed far easier than that level of attacking brilliance. #NUFC

"It was the best of halves. It was the worst of halves." Charles Dickens does #nufc

A big three points 🙌

The opener aside, a superb first half and a huge win for #NUFC. That’s what we’d love to focus on, but that second half feels quite deflating. You can’t just switch off entirely and expect PL opposition to join you.

Pope back in 🙌 Big blow that Tonali isn’t considered fit enough to start though. Hopefully young Miley can step up. HOWAAAAAY!!!! #NUFC

Decent set of results, bar the Brighton one (playing Southampton, far too much to ask for them to drop points there). Positives to be had from whatever Villa v Chelsea brings as well (hoping for mass brawl, followed by points deduction 🤞). Just need to do our bit tomorrow 🙏 #NUFC

6 months post-hip resurfacing surgery, 9 weeks since I started back running and I ran my first #parkrun since June. 4+ mins slower than last time, 70+ places further back, but I’m just so happy to be back out there again.

Dubravka and Krafth extensions make sense. Dubs is a more than adequate number 2 (which is what he should revert back to this weekend), Krafth ever reliable/versatile back up. Not exciting developments, but sensible ones. #NUFC

Two chaotic teams on display there. Watching that you get the feeling that if either team had been playing someone decent they’d have been properly turned over. #SpursvManUtd
