Kim Deal - New Century Hall MCR 17th June 2025. A magical night out.

Totally agree with Richard. A lovely gig.

This week’s listening. Not a bad record amongst them, but I’m particularly enjoying the new Kathryn Joseph, Stereolab and Steve Queralt LP’s and wallowing in some Loop, Xmal Deutschland, Chapterhouse and Rilo Kiley nostalgia.

Pixies -O2 Apollo, 24th May 2025

Tyler the Creator - Co-op Live, 28th May 2025.

Morrissey- Co-op Live, 7th June 2025. Marvellous stuff.

In my happy summer place…..

Fulham fans giving KDB a standing ovation coming on to the pitch as an 85th minute substitute. Classy fanbase. #fulmci

Their football credit card is maxed out. They have no European football. They consequently can’t replace the majority of their overpaid and underperforming players. They are in modern parlance, ‘cooked’. Thank you Spurs for sending United to mid-table purgatory for the foreseeable future.

I know a lot of Oldham fans and they’ve had to suffer a lot of rubbish football in recent years. Consequently, I couldn’t be happier for them enjoying their team reaching the National League playoff final at Wembley. They’ve earned their day in the sun.

Can I just point out that ‘boo boy favourites’ Bernardo and Nunes were both excellent tonight #mci

Totally!

God bless you KDB. One of the greatest to wear the sky blue shirt.

Something different tonight.

Inter just will not lie down and quit will they? Incredible stuff.

I’ve lived with this over this weekend …. and it’s ace. Highly recommended if your musical taste falls somewhere in the indie / shoegaze / atmospherics / post rock zone.

Good god. What is that City team Pep has picked this afternoon? Genuinely, baffled.

Top photo that.

What a shame that snide, moaning, fouling and cynical Villa team lost. Karma clearly is a real thing.

I totally love this. Long may it continue.

Everton away - for the final time. I’m surprised I’m so nostalgic about this place as I’ve been chased round this ground more than any other, and seen City lose a lot here. Nevertheless, it’s a place I’ll miss visiting.

I’d totally forgotten how great this is. A reminder that later Fall stuff still had a lot going for it.

The Etihad pitch has clearly been narrowed for today. I assume that’s to counter Palace’s wide players? #tacticstruck

Something positive coming out of our club, fan wise, for once this season. Good work all involved. www.mancity.com/news/club/ma...

Trafford (away). Mancunian section. Summed up by the queue into their ‘megastore’.

So we’re going with our team filled of old midfielders again….. #prays #mcfc

KDB is one of the greatest players to ever wear our shirt & his legend will undoubtedly be celebrated for generations to come. His leaving got me thinking about the ‘centurions’ legendary midfield trio of David Silva, Fernandinho & KDB - City’s greatest midfield combination. What a trio they were.

MBV tickets for MCR all sorted. Hurrah!

Bournemouth are a quick team. So we play every slow player we have. Interesting City team to say the least! #afcbmci

The view from the away end. I’m hoping this lot turn up this afternoon! Come on City!

Of course I’m now stupidly excited ….

Saw this again last night. Surprisingly, both showings were packed out (who knew BJM and the Dandy’s were so popular in MCR?) …. and god the documentary remains the best of its type. Go see if you get the chance or have never seen the original version. You’ll thank yourself.
