I agree. I was there for the diving catch he made in the left-center alley when Chipper was in left. Yes, it was an incredible catch, but he hit the ground so hard, I was scared he wasn't going to get up. I remember Expos outfielders in the 80s/90s saying it was the worst surface in baseball

The stadium was so bad that it resembled the sound of an underground concrete parking garage at the airport, and the lighting was subpar for a dome. The seats hadn't been upgraded since the 70s, and it was literally falling apart, often with areas taped off due to falling debris.

I went to a Braves/Expos game where my buddies and I sat behind the 3rd base dugout. From home plate to dead center, there were less than 300 people total on the third base side. The first base side had more, so maybe a total of 800.

I was kinda shocked when he signed in SF. His swing/power didn't really match well in that stadium, IMO.
