The music gets louder and faster when you’re moving in the progressive direction.

The thing you want is just behind that thing that you don’t want to do. This single sentence has changed the way that I think about things so much in the past few months. I’m happier, calmer and achieving more, more efficiently. Who knew I was what was getting in my way all this time?

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a studio photographer for professional headshots based in London?

As always, @chriswarcraft.bsky.social is a real one.

New piece by the great @vivianhle.bsky.social for @99pi.org, about the inglorious history of fascist architecture 99percentinvisible.org/episode/616-...

“Describe your design process.”

I love this strategy tbh 👀

If you can’t delete your meta platform accounts bc you use them for your business or other essential communication, I recommend you at least do this:

This is exactly the content that I’m looking for

Okay, so i've wittled away my goals to actionable work. From the master 3 categories, lets see how it moves forward. -Facilitate Professionalism -Build Consistency, consistently. -Be the person that you want to be

I started redefining my goals today because honestly, I was a little grossed out by what I had read. I’d been hit with a huge wave of self help notions like ‘make a million this year, you’re the only thing getting in the way’

I'm working on (surprise, surprise) folio again. and I couldn't figure out why this #design wasn't working, so I thought i'd go through a few steps publicly to get #productdesign feedback from the community.

Just discovered hexorial.studio for figma plugins to help get my colour right with accessibility and it's..free? wth guys.. all this time?

Interviewer: Can you explain this gap in your resume? Designer: It's actually called whitespace

In a slight deviation from what I was planning on doing - I've come up with what I have thought of, as a genius idea. I've got it in my head, but I need to work out how i'm going to make it in @framer.com

After a driving holiday with family, all I want for Christmas is therapy

Fatherhood has been tough. I’m used to driving long distances but with the addition of listening to lullabies adds a whole new level.

Okay, so 1/3 projects on #contra done. I'm pretty happy with it, even though it's super simple, I think it clearly shows my value as a designer, building design systems and shifting design to balance form and function. contra.com/p/gYlrRrUc-l...

So as part of my teardown of my profile on #contra I see a bigger problem - I haven't properly constructed a portfolio piece. I've just designed a flat slide in figma and pasted in images. This opens a whole range of problems, accessibility for one.

So starting with the copy, I don't think I'm playing to my strengths, and i'm clouded in marketing mumbo-jumbo. I don't want to use the AI to generate.

One part that i'm kind of confronting as part of this project, where i'm rebuilding #contra is that I start a lot of things, but lose myself in the execution. I have all the intentions in the world but I just need to get to the other side.

My #babystagename ideas: Chance the Napper Droolie Andrews Alice Pooper Snooze Dogg

Basically, I'm just going to town on why my portfolio is terrible. In my own opinion on a whiteboard.
