Real passion, falling into the b.s. of "explicitly Nazi movement". MAGA's the slogan of a broad movement born of vicious political fighting. Some MAGA are Nazis, and some are increasingly at risk of that, but most aren't nearly there-- and painting with broad brushstrokes is EXACTLY how we got here.
If you think this because you have MAGA family members, you really need to come to terms with the fact that they support a movement filled with Nazis at its core and has Nazi values.
That's not personally applicable, but I appreciate the value of that perspective. The focus is wrong and counterproductive: MAGA is demonstrably filled with Project 2025, not Nazi values, and Project 2025 is much more than enough to work against.
P2025 wants to mass deport "undesirables", deleted mountains of information on trans healthcare, wants to censor educational materials on ideological grounds, wants to defund care for the disabled and elderly, and wants to promote/expedite executions. If that isn't Nazi goals, idk what is
It's Christian dominionism goals. P2025 is only part of the unholy alliance of MAGA, but it's a huge one. It's vulnerable to direct criticism, which is why Republicans refused to publicly associate with it during the election campaign.
Nah. Sitting idly by and hemming and hawing and appealing to spiritual nonsense is the problem. This is the real world with real nazis, and we don't beat them by putting on the fucking kids gloves.
I do not stand for spiritual nonsense; I stand for practical, active approaches to actual problems. I hope that this clarification is the end of our exchange. However, we should note that most insults from strangers actually support and strengthen my position.
This is a vague and misleading comparison to what's actually happening in America, mostly in hostile social media exchanges between strangers. I'm focused on bigger issues such as the unconstitutional obscenities happening right now in DC, plus how to actually practically overcome the MAGA movement.
If you vote for a Nazi for economic reasons, you don’t get to claim it’s unfair for folks to say you also support concentration camps. You can’t vote for select parts of a politician & ignore what’s convenient.
Falling into the b.s. of using disparate voter intentions to whitewash a fascist administration. Trump’s campaign, Project 2025, the actions of the first and second Trump administrations, all are explicitly fascist. MAGA is a fascist movement, regardless of the rationales people made to vote for it.
I don't disagree with calling MAGA a fascist movement, although I don't think that's intentional for most MAGA people, nor a helpful approach in most conversations.
They all believe, even if they don't have the vocabulary for it, that there are natural places for pure/degenerate people, and the function of a state is to enforce that. It's the core of reactionary supremacist ideology and, while people can change, they can't be reasoned out of it by strangers. +
why am I the one "othering" anyone? are they not the vassals of those in power? are their beliefs not othering me and people I love as degenerates? what's with this liberal obsession with "taking the higher ground" all the way to the firing squad? is it because you don't truly feel scared?
There's lots of othering going around. I am truly scared and know many vulnerable people. I'm not liberal; I'm technically an anarchist, although that'll probably get taken WAY out of context in this setting.
as a fellow anarchist, it's especially important for us to deconstruct neoliberal notions of "politics as dialogue". it's not, never will be, and it's a tool to defang and atomize us. politics is passion, and those passionate about diametrically opposed horizons of possibility are political enemies.
Which is to say, for us that dream of a different future, they're the enemy. They're not ignorant of their passions, liberals are the naive ones for falling for the Illuministic delusion of politics = reason. Arguing over names and flags is irrelevant. In any meaningful sense, it's a Nazi movement.
It's helpful to identify ideas, beliefs and actions as "the enemy", instead of human beings. Labeling half of America as "the enemy" right now seems naive, in a very different and IMO more practical way than you've constructed.
America is the enemy, conceptually. Y'all are just at different levels of denial about it. You're demanding enlightenment from victims while coddling those that support their oppression. "Enemies" and "human beings" are not mutually exclusive. Again, naivety is the delusion of "humanist logic".
I'm not coddling anyone. Actually I'm refusing to coddle the people (mostly liberals) who are on my side on 90% plus of political issues, but mistakenly think they should fight misinformation and disinformation with the very same thing.
My explicit focus from the beginning was to not paint counterproductively (i.e., hurting your own cause) with broad brushstrokes, and I remain on message.
Are you? your previous comment painted literally everyone with a broad brushstrokes by generalizing that both sides have issue with admonishment. I'm not convinced you know anything that youre talking about
Speaking to onlookers, not those who spout such nonsense: If you doubt my positions on social justice, human rights, the obscenities in the Musk/Trump administration, etc., there's plenty of online evidence for you to see where I stand.
That's like asking a defendant to provide proof that they're not guilty when you're prosecuting them without any evidence. But then, letting off steam is one of the few things that social media's clearly good at.
You just asserted that the majority are not fascist they just happened to have voted for one, saying of that subset of the electorate "most aren't nearly there".
With respect I doubt you can say that with any authority but I may be wrong so I'm waiting for your data....
I can't prove anything (neither can you) and certainly feel no pressure to "prove" that people are innocent until proven guilty. Also, I referred to Nazism not fascism. You might not care about that distinction, but when you twist people's words in social media, it's there for everyone to see.
Oh so you're point is they don't belong to Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei? I guess the fact it was banned 79 years ago on a different continent would support that assertion
Speakers aren’t allowed to go past the podium, which is why Chris is doing it as his non-violent protest. The cop is running up to detain him. Chris was arrested and eventually charged with “disturbing an assembly.”
Is it just me, or does the crime of "disturbing the peace" make a lot of these people sounds like Kusco in The emperor's New groove, talking about "you threw off my groove"?
Like disturbing an assembly or disturbing the peace is an incredibly vague charge.
Yeah. And Kluwe has someone in his mentions saying that they’ve run school board meetings in the same community where there have been death threats and physical altercations, but the cops simply removed the aggressors and didn’t bother with charges. This is strictly punitive.
It's embarrassing that Mike Pence has spoken up before ANY of the former living presidents Obama, Clinton, Bush to condemn Trump & the Republicans behavior. Kamala Harris where are you at ?
I don't follow NFL and I don't know who this guy is but the fact that an ex-NFL player is wearing a Tecmo Bowl hoodie while giving this speech is goddamned epic.
I was familiar with him from my old WoW days :) Through word of mouth we knew some NFL guy played WoW, and that he was in fact one of the sweetest people in game!
Maga stands for death creating sepsis for a woman with an ectopic pregnancyby makng it a crime for a doctor to save her life despite an unviable pregnancy.
Thank you. That was clear concise and correct and showed more balls than maybe 94 percent of dems in office right now. I’ve never felt the urge to salute a single fucker before ever but I salute you.
Seriously. The team is fairly full of tRumpies. Butker needs to be yeeted to outer space before he decides to become another one of Missouri’s pos MAGA politicians. 🤦🏼♀️
That cop was just waiting to arrest him for speaking against the same shit that caused concentration camps.
Leo. Do you really want to protect those that would see your child die, because the research comes out of your tax dollars. The same dollars Elon is awarding himself with entitlement cuts?
This kind of shit right here... THIS is how you show allies around the world America is NOT totally lost. An arrest for civil disobedience now to raise awareness is better than the concentration camp planning with your fellow emaciated inmates that's do or fucking die later I always say. love 🇨🇦
Plus as a white male he’s less likely to be harmed by the police. I’m also making assumptions (based on his former career) but he can probably afford bail, his own lawyer, and if this shows up on his record it won’t negatively impact future employment. This is using privilege for good.
I kinda wish for every single American who can afford whatever fine one gets for whatever civil infraction this is to walk into a courtroom or state house or police station tomorrow and confess to “doing DEI” and do not leave until arrested, booked, and fined.
Remember some one who takes action to save his country doesn't break any laws. And sociopath Trump has to agree to what you did, does he not. Light the way for those who are to follow.
The way that shitty tool of a cop ran to go after the unarmed man going to SIT in protest is fucking top tier comedy. That bald headed Nazi has been waiting for the opportunity to become the Nazi he’s always wanted to be apparently.
Thank you @chriswarcraft.bsky.social for speaking truth to power and for exercising our First Amendment rights! The Constitution still stands, goddamnit! I couldn’t have said what you said better, my damn self!

All I saw was him giving a statement.
The behavior was approaching the bench without permission. He knew this would lead to detention, just like it would in a court.
It was an act of self sacrifice.
"free speech" 😂😂😂

Succinct. Truthful. SO fucking patriotic.
and grotesquely, gamergate is a big part of why we're at where we are today.
This endless, repetitive spew of lies and misinformation is not 'free speech', it a method for programming humans.

Man is a badass.
All of which makes Kluwe pretty special.
This is it. Raise hell.
Leo. Do you really want to protect those that would see your child die, because the research comes out of your tax dollars. The same dollars Elon is awarding himself with entitlement cuts?
The bailiff? detained him because he entered the well (space in the center of the hearing room, between witness and the bench).
They always try to trump up charges against people who do so because they want to discourage it "for their safety".
And to put down his political speech.
Doubleplusbad!!

From tiny to massive, he did a full act of defiance.
There it is, hell yeah.
Thanks
