Fun fact: One of the members of the writing team from this show (Wayne Kline) was later hired by NBC circa 1988 to be in the writing team for jay leno’s tonight show (where he was until 2009, he’s retired from writing now). Jays long serving writing team made people hate him and like Conan Obrien

Fun fact: James was only the head writer for jimmy from 1977 to 1978. He was unfortunately, like Ronald Reagan head writers, replaced in 1978 with a person who made more generic speeches for the president.

The only good Reagan speechwriters was himself and his first head speechwriter, Ken klachigan (also his 1980 campaign speechwriter- who left after 5 months and replaced by aram bakshian, who in turn was replaced by Noonan)
