I think the idea of a vocal competent person who understands the repercussions is needed. There are others out there and some freshman representatives with time.
Mayor Pete is one possibility. But if he takes up the torch will he be "removing" himself from the 2028 ticket?

I view it as a reduction of tax loopholes rather than an increase of taxes. Same result. As you say ... tax cuts.
