Jerry Lawson invented the video game cartridge. He's the reason they stopped making pong consoles in the 1970s. If it weren't for him, the Atari 2600 and many others would literally NEVER exist at all.

December 6th graces is with a pair of Rare anniversary dates! Banjo Kazooie debuted in Japan, 1998 AND Donkey Kong 64, 1999 in PAL territories! These two games epitomized the platform+collect-a-thon genre and are two of the finest games on the Nintendo 64!

holy crap I just remembered this epic thing we used to have before apps, it was called "web sights". Instead of just being endless scrolling dopamine farms the internet used to be discrete web "pages", kind of like pages in a book.

I think Gamecube is the Nintendo console that ages the best. They were innovating their franchises at a time where fans didnt want that as much as direct continuations with better graphics. But now I think most of us are starved for innovative yet polished games.
