If people are allowed to cover themselves head to toe in Trump merch, I'm allowed to be excited about Zohran.

It was deeply depressing sitting in the EC4 meeting yesterday and watching the RIPTA rep glumly acknowledge that the FY26 budget will bring service cuts. Not to mention everything else we're behind on funding.

Wouldn't you rather take the hands of strangers and break bread, find new lovers, create art together, than this endless, cruel stupidity in service to imbecile money cultists?

Nothing will make sense for a while and that's fine. You're not supposed to know it all on the first day and people want to help you figure things out, so don't be afraid to ask. And congrats again!

❤️ You are so great. I'm really excited. I'm working the more rural communities here. They often have more volunteers than actual paid govt staff, and haven't had the capacity to apply for money to address resilience problems in their communities. It feels good that I can use my nerdy skills to help.

For me to be able to recognize a particular pop punk band indicates how much they play in my home 😅

Bear *loves* this band

But the guys who bought a lake and started to drain it hoping the residents there would get upset enough to have the town buy it off them for $100 million (most of the town's budget for a year)? That's the popcorn stuff - especially because it's resolved.

One of the communities I'll be working with carries old resentment about the state taking land for a reservoir. The reservoir was created elsewhere and the state kept the land as a management area. People are still pissed 70 years later!
