All of the Half-Life games or pretty much any FPS with an action-adventure focus. Not too short like the average boomer shooter, but not a super long RPG (except for Cyberpunk 2077 and maybe Deus Ex).
Also Spore, Mass Effect Trilogy, GTA series, Saints Row series, and probably some others.

Finishing off the dump with some of the weapons I made pre-texturing that have been somewhat scrapped up to this point.

Also exclusive to Bluesky (since I think it's already on Twitter), here's some soda stuff.

Some weapons for CyberAnima. Most of these are scrapped in favor of different weapons.

If you want to do something similar to what I've made, I've uploaded the shader code to Godot Shaders.

I think Doom Eternal is still a well made and polished game, I'm just not accustomed to it's more character action-esque gameplay compared to the grounded approach with the originals, 2016 and Dark Ages.

Also it stings because I'm in the middle of buying PS2 games for funsies and now remember he actually directed some ads for it.

Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask was also another inspiration. It's a simple seamless "window" texture with a custom reflection map stretched over it using custom shader code
Said reflection is layered on top of the transparent building texture using Godot's "next pass" feature.

Here's what the tree model looks like in a wireframe view and so forth.

Even though I need time to work on CyberAnima, if I get a good amount of time to play games, I need to find some more interesting and worthwhile crap to fill my time. Maybe some RPGs or stuff that interests me with a good amount of time to back it up. I dunno.

I don't get it, I don't recall playing any platformers this year lol

FYI I'm not starting development on a bowling game, I'm just throwing a concept around for shits n' giggles.
Plus I mentioned tennis/squash but I don't want to make that a game because Cosmic Smash already did that and it's amazing (both the original and the recent VR one)

for context, first Tokyo Xtreme Racer is returning, now Screamer outa nowhere, I'll shit my pants if Wipeout or Rollcage returns proper lol

Like out of all things, there was no leaks or indications that a new Turok game was coming, that caught me off guard and I'm all in for it lol

For me it's both Spore and Cyberpunk 2077, which I adore to death but during it's launch window people trashed it HARD. (even if there was some valid reasons why)
It's even weirder because the former I played as a kid and never saw the criticism until a decade later.

Again, I'm still happy Epic is okay with these preservation efforts, but I wish it was a lil' bit better. Especially since its the OldUnreal guys who are preserving it.

I know it seems dumb for me to say that since the games are <1GB, but I just find this way of preserving the games post-delisting to be a lil' clunky.

One of my goals with CyberAnima is to be one of those games where you can stop playing after saving, then come back later and suddenly it feels fresh in some regards. Things you haven't seen yet actually getting it's limelight and all.
Even if it's the same, the "fresh" factor is still satisfying.
