This is an awful article that completely misses the point. The argument boils down to "buying a gun supports gun companies," which is completely undercut when you consider used gun sales/shows/etc. Not having to worry about physical safety is a privilege that few queer folks have in the US rn.

Imagine spending more than the GDP of several small countries developing some software, just to ship something that's inferior in every way to a F2P game on steam - and you still can't advertise anything but a reskinned meeting room.

Installing Linux is sort of like medical transition, it's a long term solution to a lot of problems, and you're right to suggest it, but you gotta know the right timing and "highly specific immediate short-term issue" isn't it

Been seeing a lot of those "resistor" types in the discover feed. It's a bit wild to see the same handful of notes app tirades, low-effort memes, mis-attributed quotes, and more from people who... don't even live in the U.S.?

Shoutout to Microsoft for not letting you change accounts if you've already logged into one in a given browser, *and* forcing me to spend $10 to remove my deadname from my Xbox account. Real classy.

On the left, my image. On the right, the Al image that was clearly trained on, and designed to plagiarize, my image. All Al generated imagery is inherently theft. It's unethical, environmentally disastrous, and does irreparable harm to both artists and society.

A little exerpt from my family's Thanksgiving table this year, brought to you by a guest that studies 'nuclear posture': "I know we're mostly Republicans here (we weren't), so I just wanna say John Lennon's 'Imagine' set world peace back 100 years."
