From what I understand, Ivar Lovaas also developed conversion therapy and it uses the same approach. The link between conversion therapy and suicidal ideations mmay be useful in establishing an argument that ABA causes harm. catalystjournal.org/index.php/ca...

Oh I love a good probing (tee hee.) For me, a regular practice of mindfulness leads to catching myself. If I have regular daily "subtle energy" hygiene, I am able to stop that train with ease. A regular practice of showing up for myself is essential.

Yep. I call this being lonely for a place I've never been. It's easy to get lost in this feeling if I don' catch myself.

This attack on science & the Autistic community is a money grab
they don't wanna share the 💰 they made off the people they exploit, which we need in order to provide the universal accommodations that every person disabled by today's society deserves
they think we're a bad investment

Harvard university has an endowment. This is a signal that the business sector is pushing back against the administration and they don't endorse the lack of stability. I'm happy to see that, but I don't think they actually care about the citizenry or poor people or anything.

As a 47 year old woman with a CPTD diagnosis and multiple professional certifications in trauma informed therapies (from Jenna Fischer) and still actively experiencing ongoing abuse, I’ll frame my worldview how I wish. Happy to continue an honest discussion of this off socials. Email me!

I go too. Before I saw my current trauma therapist I sent a character though. CBT didn’t work for me, and instead of just saying that I pretended it did. Sometimes o forget how far I e come this last decade.

I feel like that number is too hig. I'd say 42-43+. I am 47, diagnosed 3 years ago, and I graduated in 1996, the year they added Asperger's to the spectrum. Autism is usually caught young, I doubt people in high school and middle school in 96 had it better.
