We get a lot of other characters in those books and closer looks at different families and how names are given and chosen. It's so fascinating and I want more of that and I'm sure Zahn wouldn't mind doing something in Star Wars without Thrawn being the central character.

Also this is why I love the canon Ascendancy trilogy so much. Thrawn is the focus, obviously, but we see so much more of Chiss culture and their worlds and their government. I would absolutely love for Zahn to write an entire book or series that's more stuff like that and no Thrawn.

I think, if Thrawn truly "loved" someone, he would want to know as much about them as he could without actually touching them. Keeping his distance. To be loved by Thrawn means he thinks you're the greatest expression of a race's art. In my opinion.

He probably treats relationships the way he treats artwork. He studies people to see how they work. To him, knowing artwork of a race is how he knows people. But relationship wise, he's probably always reading people just as deeply.

But I'm going to assume it all depends on the family/tribes. My personal head canon is Thrawn is not exactly ace, but kind of just not interested but he'd do it. He'd be more interested in conversation than boning down.

Well, he absolutely bleeds red. When he dies in Legends, it's mentioned that the red blood seeps into his white uniform. So he probably bruises a darker shade of blue/purple like a normal person.
I'm.... Not sure on their relationships as I don't think it's explored much in what I've read.
