Talking with a coworker about how our last hire quit after 2 weeks. He makes some comments about how people are ghosting jobs in the last couple years. I bring up how applicants have been getting ghosted for decades and companies are getting pissed about reaping what they sow.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but 2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but 3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So 4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

Aggressive spam attack today. A text and 2 calls in an hour claiming to be my bank's fraud department. Checked the app didn't seem anything odd but decided to give the bank a call to make sure. They confirmed no notes on file and not their number.

A few times while I was working today the cat was dreaming of a feast I guess. She kept like sleep eating, I could hear her doing little chomps while curled into a ball on her bed. It was adorable.

Adepticon was fun. Got to hang out with @bbsartboutique.bsky.social for a bit. Showed him some malifaux he showed me some trench crusade. And we both enjoyed the snappy play of steel rift. So will likely be playing that at cons because it's a small scale easy transport game.

Played in an all day malifaux event went 1/1/1 the last game was a tie that ended a turn early as the opponent let the chess clock run out. If we would have gone to 5 turns we both agreed that I was likely to win on points as I made him be out of position and wasting actions.
