Ever heard Half Past Two's cover of "Three Small Words" (from Josie)? It rips. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jiv2...

This is the best UK second-wave post punk song of them all. Sorry to Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines and the rest.

I have the 8bitdo "G Bros" adapter that lets you use an OG GameCube or "classic" controller (from Wii and the mini NES/SNES systems) with a Switch. I bet it will work with Switch 2, maybe with a firmware update.

When they announced the Pro 2 I had planned to buy it because I assumed it would fix the problems with the Pro 1. If it doesn't fix them, there's no point in upgrading.

I'm sure I could do the tape fix, but it's almost a matter of principle to me. Also, I have a Switch 1 pro that will work just fine as well (except it won't remote-wake) so I could just tape-fix that instead and not shell out $90 for another shitty d-pad I'd also have to fix.

If I don't go with the GameCube controller in lieu of a Pro, I'll get the Gamesir Super Nova instead. Who cares if it can't remote-wake the system? It does everything else, the A/B/X/Y buttons can be swapped to Nintendo-style layout, and it costs much less ($50 on Amazon currently).

Also, it's only $65 compared to the Pro 2's $80.

Yeah that's a good point about the weird tiny ZL, but I'd rather have a well-functioning but tiny D-Pad and a weird ZL button than an inconsistent D-Pad and a normal size ZL.

I've recently watched the Retro Game Corps controller reviews of this, the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C and the Gamesir Super Nova. Russ thinks they ALL have this d-pad problem (where it picks up accidental diagonals too easily). Shitty d-pads are apparently an epidemic!!!

I plan on getting a Switch 2 GameCube controller at some point anyway, and I plan to hopefully use that as my primary wireless controller since it works with all games.

Did you see the actual promo?

Please tell me you me heard Dan Harmon’s epic Now You See Me 2 rant. youtu.be/bXdHBP6mgdE?...

That does make sense

I wonder if the firm that did this (does Golin do their Euro marketing too?) was just given assets to do "Out Now" ads for all of this year's major releases and if this entire ad was released too early?

Yeah hey buddy!

Alan Wake 2 is so obviously inspired by In the Mouth of Madness

It’s cool and unique which is part of what helps the 3D hardware hold its value for fans and collectors too.

The 3D gimmick is cool and great if it’s your thing. If not, just turn it off or get a 2DS. Unlike most other hardware gimmicks (like a second touchscreen), which typically open new avenues for gameplay, the 3D screen is passive. That’s not really a good or bad thing for the 3DS from my POV.

Grandia II is even better. The battle system is superb.

Maybe a bad example game for me to pick here given that. I kinda picked it at random since it was the first game that came to mind that is still new to me.

The economy is tight. Everything is expensive. You just spent $500 + tax on the console. If you can only afford one more full price game, that’s gonna be DK Bananza for most folks.
comment in response to post
Like why would I buy Cyberpunk 2077 now when I know it’ll likely go on sale later this year and also DK Bananza is out in a few weeks.
comment in response to post
Yup. And consumers know Nintendo won’t put their games on sale so they may as well buy those now and wait to buy 3rd party stuff.

There’s a gun powerful enough to destroy an entire planet but if you need to send a message to somebody working in another part of said giant gun, you need to put it on a little droid that scoots over to their office.

The best thing about Star Wars is that they have FTL travel but no email. Sign me up.

Missed opportunity not including some snake meat jerky in there.

It took me a full day to realize the reward track scrolls left/right... the discoverability on this element is non-existent. I swear I even tried to scroll it yesterday and it didn't work. Very confusing.
comment in response to post
Yeah that's a nice little side benefit.

They expect folks to take multiple cruises in 2 years? LOL

I think there are 8 power bands now (Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Peach, Daisy, DK, Diddy) so you're looking at like $360 for all of them! RIP your wallet :( Although I bet you can get used ones cheaper on eBay.
comment in response to post
That makes sense. It would suck if they were truly unique amiibo because (I think) they're only sold at the parks and they cost like $45 each. I feel bad for the completionist collectors out there.
comment in response to post
So if I scan a Diddy Kong power band does the system see it as identical to any Diddy amiibo? Or do the power bands read as unique amiibo?

Option 2. Thunder Mesa could have been so cool with the way it integrated multiple rides. I could even see it being modified to include a different, western-themed take on Splash Mountain. Losing MK Pirates is for the best too, as it's easily the worst incarnation of that attraction.

I haven't actually used the mic yet so I can't speak to the sound quality there. I want to try that out soon with Helldivers 2 and/or FBC: Firebreak. Even if the mic is mid, that's fine. I mostly bought this for single player use.

- I did the 3D audio personalization and have no idea if I did it right or if it worked. I guess so? - I love that it can dual-connect to PS5 and a bluetooth device - I got the "Midnight Black" colorway which looks really nice and sleek - I like that you can mute/unmute from the controller

Pretty slow for a movie about very fast cars.

All this tells me is they don't care about any of these issues, for good or bad. They don't care about supporting these communities, they only care about how they can financially leverage them. Every decision is based on how it potentially affects their bottom line.
