While that may be true, it's always good to have those places in our own city to point to when we fight for improvements in other places!
Often people will discount examples from other cities, so being able to point to places here is always a good thing!

Hey now, if you live at the EY convention center it's only one train away from the airport!

A big reason we can't afford to keep our roads in decent shape is because we keep overbuilding them, and refuse to invest into more efficient modes of transportation.
Now we get a worst of both worlds where we don't have good alternatives, and our roads are in poor shape.

Keep in mind that ALL planned pedestrian and cycling infrastructure projects over the next 20 YEARS are going to cost under 1/4 of the expected cost of a single road widening project (Greenbank road, close to $400M)
If we're going to get out of our current issues, the city needs much more ambition

With today's announcement from @mark-carney.bsky.social , it seems apt to get this out there.
Specifically, the work I'm doing on "The Beachburg Block". A proven idea, re-imagined for #Canada.

There's a lot more in the works, so stay tuned.

You can explore the 3D data here:
azure-odessa-2.tiiny.site#cx=-8423683....
This is 2024 Municipal Taxes / Area (by Census Dissemination Area). I'd like to add more features in the future for viewing other parts of the data.

This would help make the area not only better for shoppers, but also allow for more people to get here, improve one of our most important transit corridors in the city, help reduce congestion, bring more people to Lansdowne events, and so much more!

We don't need more roads Mr. Mayor. We need emergency housing, short term and long term affordable housing, better treatment center's for those at risk or in need. We need stronger public services, more reliable /AFFORDABLE/ transit.
You want to help us? Work on those issues.

Autowa has over 6000kms of roads already. We don't need *more* roads. We need to better maintain the ones we have, esp within the core, where most roads are literally crumbling.
We also need to focus on transit. Remember how you promised to fix that? When's that going to happen?
