^ truly the best response to that overused and disingenuous claim

I think it's mostly a reluctance to support something they consider unethical in any way.

100% They saw how neocons lost control of their party and are afraid it'll happen to them

And the one factor that blows your regurgitated shit claim out of the water is Donald Trump. He fearmongered over Dems, but he also fluffed their hate boners and told his base everything they wanted to hear. All uncommitted people wanted to see was a strong stance against bombing children

Relying 100% on negative voter turnout is a deeply flawed strategy. The fact that people like you are bewildered by the idea that voters need more than the threat of a terrible leader to be motivated is why dems keep losing elections. Vote Democrat.. or else *wags finger*

As someone who did vote for Kamala primarily in opposition to trump, it's not the responsibility of the voting public to engage in calculus to determine the path of harm reduction, but instead the responsibility of the parties to put forth candidates that excite voters.

Balance is important here I think. You're right, absolute bangers should be dropped and potentially even liked en masse, but those efforts should be concentrated. It's impossible to enforce, but minimizing engagement while also exposing red team to truth is ideal imo

I'm not certain about this specific event, but around that time there was a lot of bogus gender science suggesting that too much physical activity would dislodge the womb ect ect. As an example

A lot of that is enormously speculative. "And there’s reason to think more applications will be developed: PwC finds that climate-tech start-ups working with AI raised US$6 billion of venture funding in the first nine months of 2024, which was US$1 billion more than they raised in all of 2023."

First article expects a power grid usage of 117% (more than double) and then goes on to assume that in the future it's not going to get higher than that. Second article compares it to the cattle industry, which is also incredibly destructive to the environment, but hey, at least it feeds people.

So lazy they couldn't even be bothered to rewrite the sample rhetoric.

Manufacturing Dissent, the horrible sequel to Manufacturing Consent. I feel like by the end of this we're going to see at minimum a WH cabinet member posting AI-made riot images

It was June 6th, 1998 and it was a BLT from a now shut down bodega in NYC. I didn't know it at the time, but that was the BLT I would one day marry

Yes he might but that could successfully cause people on the fence to realize just how toxic that whole sphere of our political discourse is. I think his negative public image is going to follow him for quite a while, possibly (hopefully) forever.

Everything goes back to the fact that every right wing man knows deep in their bones that the only chance they have of attracting any women into their life is if they're forced to make that choice or starve. That's the entire game plan in a nutshell

It was definitely a front-loaded challenge but there were plenty of stressful moments throughout the run list where it seemed easy to lose it all at any given moment. Hats off

In short, be George McFly from the end of Back to the Future. Knock out Biff, get the girl, make your son re-materialize. Everyone will cheer, if for no other reason than the end of this pathetic display of cowardice that has been emblematic of Democrats for the past 10+ years

The entire Biden presidency was an experiment with doing nothing in the hopes of not incensing a single conservative. It didn't work. They'll just make things up to be afraid of, or worse, run rampant around the town committing social arson. Give 'em something to talk about, on our terms

The whole "they're weird" thing was the milquetoast version of this concept. It was the most we could get from the consultant constrained DNC, but it showed that there was a clear demand. Make the pissbabies whine about it and laugh openly in their face. Call for the arrest of Musk on live TV.

The people crave a figure with the guts to bop the bully back. Bidens whole presidency was a tightrope walk of trying their best to not upset a single conservative, but look where that got us. They don't respect that shit and it's painful for the rest of us to watch. Crush them mercilessly

What's ultimately necessary is the complete and total rejection of for-profit media sources. Including the tubers, streamers and tok'ers, frankly. But short of radical change, we need to start doing things that grab attention from the algorithm, even if it takes a slight bit of stooping
comment in response to post
Meanwhile, every other political leaning that doesn't carry water for the reactionary agenda only meekly offer suggestions on how to improve things. Anything more is met by demonization by a completely captured media environment, including much of the so-called "independent media."

A very reasonable way to explain the way the world is right now is that terrible people are throwing around life changing money for things that most people can rationalize as "just a slight moral failing" but when they're done by thousands of influencers has an enormous negative impact

You're just a comedic tangent, an obscure tv reference and a self-deprecating joke about being a sickly Br*tish man away from turning this into a John Oliver segment
