Was gonna say something like this, every single Sabrina song I've heard clearly indicates that no matter what position (har har) she appears to take, she has all the power and could annihilate you from orbit if you piss her off. Megan Thee Stallion does something a little similar.

...to spend on BL2 instead, before throwing the project to outside support devs so Gearbox could focus on BL. That leaves a sour taste in peoples' mouths through no fault of BL.

Like, Borderlands 1 came out just after Aliens: Colonial Marines was announced, and Borderlands 2 was announced and released at a high level of quality a year before ACM finally shambled out the door. And it's all but confirmed that Pitchford embezzled part of the game's budget...

I don't think anyone dislikes Borderlands on a gameplay level. Within the game, it's mostly just aesthetic and writing complaints, not gelling with the humor, etc. But a lot of it is that Borderlands constantly ate the resources of the studio's other projects in the 2010s.

(And Splitgate 2 is REALLY fun, same as how Borderlands can genuinely be really fun)

When that changed, when all my mutuals and the majority of people I was dedicated to following made bsky accounts, when my Bluesky feed more or less resembled my Twitter feed and I was hearing the X algorithm was worthless? That's when I removed X from my home screen and never looked back.

Yeah, that was half the reason I left. I don't have anything I post on Twitter other than random thoughts, I'm not an artist/writer/whatever. But still, the main reason I still primarily used it after I got a Bsky account was because that's where all my follows were and where I would get responses.

I'm still a little upset that after alluding to Clive Owen's face being the product of hiding his identity with plastic surgery in the first film, they didn't have Josh Brolin turn into Clive Owen in A DAME TO KILL FOR, they just put makeup and a wig on Josh Brolin. Might have been scheduling, tho.

Honestly a masterpiece, in the running for Best Kaiju Movie Ever (like, in the general consensus, not just personal opinion) alongside its immediate sequel, Godzilla 1954, Shin, and Minus One. Absolute masterworks of effects on a fraction of contemporary Goji films' budgets.

I'd love to keep my experience consistent, and not skip over Year Two on my way through. If Year Two exists and just isn't on Audible, I'll endeavor to track it down, but if it was just never recorded, I'd be fascinated to know why it was skipped!

Because, like, if we could cast him as already middle-aged, we would just actually cast Rowan Atkinson to do the Blackadder-in-space thing that's the whole joke. Same with why, while David Tennant struck me for a second, I dismissed it because he's in his 50s.

See, I'm actually a little unclear how old Cain is supposed to be during the events of FOR THE EMPEROR, physically. I know it's his private memoir and "made it to my second century" might be him speaking about his age as of writing...but either way, how old is he supposed to LOOK?

Like...tell me that the guy who's equally capable of Edward Cullen/Cedric Diggory/Batman and ALSO Mickey 17/Ephraim Winslow from THE LIGHTHOUSE isn't PERFECT to depict that duality.

Oh shit, the audiobook version is read by the great George Guidall! He's one of the best, just picked up this translation.

Funny enough though, Kilmer's Zorro voice sounds less like DCAU Batman and more like DCAU Lex Luthor. It's kind of a dead ringer for Clancy Brown, it's bizarre.
