The Republicans don’t get Europe, and they don’t care about Europe either.

Imagine if the Didcot Parkway to Oxford line was electrified and direct services were reinstated from the Thames Valley, even more footfall. (Frustrated of Goring)

I understand that, maybe easier to get Didcot to Oxford electrified so we can direct trains from Goring to Oxford?

Any chance this line will be electrified, diesel seems a bit old-school?

Unfortunately he said out loud what a whole bunch of SUV driving car gammon think. We need to change the narrative that cycling is a) not for losers who can’t afford a car and b) that cycling isn’t an exclusive middle class pastime. More emphasis on the health benefits and time saving gains of bikes

Here is the solution: open a new railway station along the main line west of Didcot.

What a shame Aylesbury to East/West Rail have been shelved. Journeys like Wycombe to MK would have been possible.

I see it has a cycle path, for a fraction of the cost we could join up Wallingford to Cholsey and Goring so that people can leave the car behind and cycle to work/school.

Perivale would make a change, or further west along the Central Line.
