yeah i mean sometimes i wonder about my choice to dive headfirst & essentially exclusively into art over Owning a House and Getting a Real JobTM, but maybe that stems from the ol comparing myself to others (maybe the people of whom you speak, dripping the rancid vibes)

I could go on (and on), but anyway. I know that particular stream is (checks notes) 4 years old lol so hopefully this isn't like going up to a band all "hey dude, your new stuff is cool, but about your first album from thirty years ago..." Thanks for the thoughtful reply!

The stuff about more modern interpretations of Artemis & Medusa for example; I admittedly didn't know much about that and I'm 100% there for the digressions. It's informing the work, reframing bits of it, retroactively as well, and making me want go down another Greek rabbit hole.

Very much with you there. I could probably overthink and read too much into a blank colouring book. It's really cool seeing the beginnings of Hades, as I've just picked it up again after 2 years (!). Not just as a refresher, but seeing it through fresh eyes, and learning along the way.

I think that's key, with art—really engaging and being in conversation with it. All of this to say, that while I've (for whatever reason) not typically been a big watcher of LPs, somehow 3 hours blew by, and I guess you could say you've got a new fan! (& you have a band? that looks cool as hell!)

i miiight try and get through to where i felt things got interesting enough, but my god i guess you're supposed to identify with this guy, 6'5, runs fast, does magic, can do a full analysis of any woman's breasts at a glance, wears a trenchcoat & says "damn my chivalrous nature"? I GUESS?

from what I can tell the AKGs--esp the 52s--might be shittier w/build quality, but you can fold em up and apparently j*e r*gan uses (used?) the sennheiser 280s not that that should actually stop anyone lol

and by k31 I meant k361 :|

sounds like the k52's prole mentioned might be good, if you can get them for like $50 otherwise i'm seeing talk abt the k31s, those would be more like 100 sennheiser 280s might be worth a look, they're currently $123 on amazon us rn tho. ive had good luck with sennheiser (and their build quality)

holy shit that's expensive. I think I tried that in like, 2017 (I'm a tiiiiny musician), didn't realize it costs or would have cost that much whatever I did I was like, idk wanna get it out there but I hate getting bugged by emails that said I'd sign up to something for your music

that's cuz somehow she's both had the best & funniest takes on social media forever and happens to be an incredible musician (and writer) not terribly common i think

been awhile since I've been in that freak zone (think I've had these sennheiser 598s for a decade), but do you have a preference for closed back vs open back? & do microphone possibilities etc matter
comment in response to post
i really hope you're ok right now, and if not please talk to me (i do also get that shit sucks in so many ways right now)

this is of course assuming "water cooler talk" is completely, utterly literal if not, petition the company to get a water cooler
comment in response to post
pretend you're into a series your coworkers are, fake your way through some water cooler talk, then steal the rain from that bad boy!

i am no realist. like most art cat toys should embody the spirit of the expressionists & the surrealists
