As if the narrator of the poem were not a character distinct from the author.

Netanyahu and the Likud party have been out of control since Rabin's assassination, IMO.

They say they are. Who are you to them?

Gosh, you seem passionate on the subject. There are self-identifying practicing Jewish atheists. I, personally, don't understand how one can recite the Sh'mah while intellectually disagreeing with what it says, but who am I to judge.

So they detained him because he was black? I wish I were surprised.

I presume you are telling that to the DHS as well as Bluesky?

Wait until next year when he turns 80, he'll insist on something that tops tomorrow's parade. Maybe a nuclear test.

Yeah but can those computers play Tetris?

Is this the first such arrest by a Marine of a US civilian on US soil ever, or is there precedent? I'm very weary of unprecedented events this week.

He's channeling his glory of the Bush Years, axis of evil, preemptive self-defense, all that W bullshit.

Any chance he specified the threat he's talking about? His prison sentence?

"IDF expects operation against Iran to last for several days" And Putin expected to be in control of Kiev in 3 days. www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_ent...

A Tyranny of Goons. Sounds like the title of a fantasy novel except we're living in one.

And any Congressperson drafting articles of impeachment for Noem, meanwhile, will be met with derision from the Democrats in the Senate. ... Yeah I think I see your point.

We need a new name for MAGA feds, I think. There's original recipe feds, and then there's these new extra crispy m-f'ers.

Real "conspiracies" don't involve pyramid hats, fancy handshakes or secret histories. They're pretty humdrum. Conspiring to manipulate audience perceptions for ratings is one such humdrum conspiracy, I would suggest. My favorite example is "The $64,000 Question" game show manipulation.

I think our trade policy is❓at phase one and two.

Oh, once the boomer Democrat leadership and consultants finally drop dead (since they refuse to retire), we've got a chance of change.

Yes, it's an actual conspiracy by the media to exaggerate the dramatic violence of the moment.

Same two, possibly.

That's the whole damn point, genius!

I've got...a (crackpot) theory! Trump's a hotelier, heavily invested in the hospitality industry. So the Third Amendment is the only one he actually believes in, because he doesn't want freeloading servicemen billeted into his hotels.

That's an unhelpful, almost useless statement.

It seems like so many journalists are just as scared as the rest of us, but are surrendering to their fear live on TV.

More like the Boston Massacre, but yeah, unless Trump chicken's out (which he usually does), that's where we're headed.
